Small Chops: Learn How To Make Chin-Chin

Small Chops: A Nigerian term for Canapés, Hors d’oeuvres and the like. Small Chops: Quick thoughts of mine One thing I’m learning is that if I crave something I must learn how to make it before I buy it. My Grandma used to send me the £5.99 bucket of #ChinChin, she doesn’t need to anymore. Learning doesn’t stop after school, it must be continued. It’s how we become better, like my chin-chin making skills. We must challenge ourselves daily, but we mustn’t exhaust ourselves either. Small Chops: Preach To Yourself

Small Chops: A Nigerian term for Canapés, Hors d’oeuvres and the like. Small Chops: Quick thoughts of mine Dubai Mall is one place I avoid going to on a normal day. I only go there when I have guests visiting, but yesterday I changed my mind. It served as great reminder to trust God in all things and with all things. No filter has been used on this picture. No filter should be used when in communication with God. He sees through all that and knows us better than we know ourselves. From sand, came this building made with human hands. Story: The Wedding Guest II Explained & the Original Ending

All scriptures mentioned in this post were taken from the New Living Translation unless indicated otherwise. Why I Wrote the Story Writing stories was never something I thought I’ll ever do, but here we are seven stories deep and by far this is the longest short story I’ve written and probably the most strategically written. I had been wanting to write this story for eight months before publishing it in January and each time I thought about writing part two it just never really happened; any ideas I had at the time weren’t the best and I had to stay true to myself – what ever I write I must enjoy reading and I didn’t enjoy the ideas I had. A year to the day that I published the first story is when God inspired me with this one and He gave me my first story where the characters have names and also ensured that all the names related to the story themes as done in the book of Hosea. Inspiration for the Story So …

Story: The Wedding Guest II

Thank you to Christabel (@BreakingMadTeam & @Bye_Wig), @Timidi.Photograpy, Namz (@JustForJoshDecorative) & my Parents for helping me out on things I wasn’t sure of. Read Part One Here: The Wedding Guest A story inspired by a handful of scriptures from the Bible. Different from my other stories, the characters have been given names you can call them by. Names that, well, tell their own stories. “But afterward the people will return and devote themselves to the Lord their God and to David’s descendant, their king. In the last days, they will tremble in awe of the Lord and of his goodness.” ~ Hosea 3:5 NLT Intro While preaching to the couple and their guests he caught another glimpse of him. “Why is this guy’s face so familiar?” he asked within himself. He looked away and continued. “And friends, family, our newly weds, Mr. & Mrs. Adetide-Cole and to myself also, God’s love has saved us from things we could never save ourselves from. By the death and resurrection of Christ Jesus, we have been called back to …

Small Chops: He Fell Off His Bike

Small Chops: A Nigerian term for Canapés, Hors d’oeuvres and the like. Small Chops: Quick thoughts of mine Sometime last year, I was out one day completing errands for my mum’s party and I saw something that really encouraged me. A little boy had just crossed the road with his dad and grandmother, riding his tiny bike so confidently with his training wheels on. Having reached the other side of the road his front wheel hit uneven ground and he fell off his bike. It would have been understandable if he had cried, but he didn’t. He got right back up and stamped on the uneven part of the pavement, almost as if he was reprimanding the pavement for his fall. His dad had watched this second-long incident play out and rather than pet the boy or blame the boy for not looking where he was going, his dad stood above the uneven pavement with his finger wagging. He was telling the pavement off too! The young boy, got back on his bike and continued …
