Music: Five Vibes Vol. 1

My first music post this year! Back in December I decided to spend an evening sharing music via Snapchat and it was suggested that I start Spotify Playlists… but like many things that don’t work here (i.e. Facetime), creating Spotify Playlists won’t be possible right now. Till then I’ll be sharing five songs I’m enjoying in any given week (they won’t necessarily be ‘new’ songs either). Enjoy.✌🏾 “Pain Killer” by @sarkodie & @iRuntown has me wishing I took my best friend seriously when she said I should know how to speak #Twi by now — Olayide M. (@OlayideM)February 8, 2017 “Pain Killer” by Sarkodie feat. Runtown “Temper” Remix by Skales feat. Burna Boy “Prayer” by DMW feat. Davido & Mayrokun “Fancy U” by Chike* “Ahaa” by Tim Godfrey & Xtreme  (Saints dabbin’ their way into heaven these days – Listen to this song with some good headphones!) All songs listed are available to purchase on iTunes.   Do you have any suggestions of artists to I should know of? Let me know! I’m always on the look out for ‘new’ …

Life: “My NEWegian Self” ~ Throwback

So here’s a post I wrote back in 2010 about my four-month Norwegian experience in 2009. If you’re privy to my Facebook page, you’ve probably read this before (having posted it as a “Note”, before knowing blogs existed). I thought it would be nice to share again, and having re-read my initial text, I have edited some of the text, because I’ve matured and so has my English (why didn’t anyone warn me? I used words like “u, bare, coz, OMD” and phrases such as “so totally” – who did I think I was? Not cool.) Do enjoy! Signed, @OlayideM Below I have written a summary of my time in Norway, because a lot of people have asked me what Norway was like. So I hope I have answered any questions you had. I started writing this summary on the plane when I was coming back and just had time to really finish it. I hope you like it. 🙂 Here I am on an SAS flight back home – as crappy as their services are I …

Faith: Church, Brunch & the Blind Man Part 2

If you’re just joining me on this eventful recital of  DearSunday: CCF, Brunch and the Blind Man, then catch up on Part 1 here. Sunday 15th September 2013 continued: As I embarked on my A Train journey back home I realised that I hadn’t eaten all day! My first thought was to call my room mate to find out if she wanted to see some sites and get something to eat. After minutes of more misplacement, this time in the Subway trying to find the exit *sigh*, guess who I saw? My room mate and the other girls! Where were they heading? TO BRUNCH! The Lord heard my stomach rumble and answered my thoughts! We ate at Hotel Chantelle, bearing in mind this was an after 2pm Brunch we had to show ID to get in – to eat breakfast? Not that it bothered me, I just thought it interesting. I liked the food, although the girlies weren’t convinced and questioned the stability of our server – the atmosphere was pleasant and I was full …

Faith: Church, Brunch & the Blind Man Part 1

HI! I’m back with another #TBT (#ThrowbackThursday) edition…no not because it was intentional, but because I’ve been ever so lazy with my blog (amongst many other things), and it seemed ok that this post could be considered as a throwback…I mean the events mentioned in this post took place almost 8 WEEKS AGO! (*side eye*)… so here it goes! Sunday 15th September 2013: With every intention of getting to church on time, I got to church late – shame! But Sunday 15th September 2013 was a God-designed day – as with every day, but this day I acknowledged His brilliance! I went to Christ Crucified Fellowship for the first time, taking the A Train [which seemed like the longest train journey ever!] and almost an hour late I contemplated getting off the train and heading back home! Life Thought: Isn’t it interesting that a place seems far when you’ve never been there or have no idea where it is you’re going and then all of a sudden doubt settles in? I was glad that I stayed …
