I started this blog in 2012 with very little structure as to what I wanted my blog to be about. Reading the previous ‘About’ text four to five years later and I can say I’ve grown up with regards to my writing, my experiences and my focus in life.

Why Dear Layide?

Truth is, I don’t know, but I’ve come to realise that if I must write, I must write for myself first. There are countless times when I’ve come back to read my posts to be encouraged or to spur on some creativity. I often find myself surprised by my own words and having to remind myself that “I wrote this.” ** 😱

What is Dear Layide?

This blog is about life! You’ll find words of encouragement from lessons learned, you’ll read stories that’ll have you laughing but learning and you’ll be entertained and introduced to new music.

The tag for this blog is “Live Learning” and I hope that this blog will enable you to experience this.
