When Women Stop Praying

Several months ago I was having rare “boy talk” with my sweet grandmother when she said something that surprised me. My grandma told me that she has been and continues to pray that I will find and marry a Godly man. I didn’t have a fat clue she had been praying this. The past few weeks I’ve been thinking about the Godly older women in my life who have made incredible impacts on the Kingdom because they trust in the power of prayer. Often when I “pray” I act as if I’m in a counseling session with God and not taking part in Kingdom work. I fear that young women have abandoned one of the strongest weapons in the church. 

Maybe it’s because we live in a culture of instant gratification and struggle persevering when we don’t see instant results. Maybe we lack compassion for others. Maybe we don’t like taking…
